Cancellation insurance: We advise delegates to arrange course cancellation insurance to cover unforeseen events such as illness, travel disruption, or the cancellation of a course by us for which travel and accommodation costs are incurred. Please check availability with your insurance provider as we are unable to offer recommendations currently.
Transfer - Transfers within 6 weeks of the course will only proceed where a substitute participant is available. Please note only 1 transfer per person per course.
Substitution of personnel by a participant is possible at any time.
Course fees include tuition, all course materials and lunches. Vegetarian and non-vegetarian sandwiches/options are catered for. We also endeavour to cater for medically recommended diets.
Accommodation and travel is not included and should be organised personally – accommodation and travel information is available on our website.
As a course may be cancelled up to 6 weeks prior to its start date, we recommend that attendees do not book travel arrangements before this time. Any travel or other costs incurred are entirely the attendee’s responsibility. We do not accept any liability for reimbursement of any costs incurred by attendees booked more than 6 weeks before a course start date.
Due to the limited places on each course, booking cannot be confirmed without payment.
Whilst every attempt is made to run courses as advertised, the DIHS reserves the right to change the timetable and/or teaching staff without prior notice and also to cancel without liability in the event of undersubscription (fees will be fully refunded in this event). We reserve the right to alter course dates, venues and location where necessary without liability. We will endeavour to give the delegate as much advance notice as possible of any such change via the attendee’s email address provided at time of booking. If the delegate is unable to attend a course at the revised location or date, we will credit 100% of their course fees against a future course or, if requested, refund those fees. In the event of cancellation, where an alternative cannot be provided in respect of a specific course, a full refund will be offered.
Non-EU Delegates – we welcome delegates from overseas but if you are resident outside the European Union (EU) you should ensure that you have a valid visa and can comply with all immigration requirements before booking a course. Please note that training and events do not qualify you for a student visa or for entry to the UK or other EU countries. Visa information is given on https://www.gov.uk/standard-visitor-visa/apply . If you wish to apply for entry to the UK you should contact your nearest British Mission that offers a visa service. A full list of UK Overseas Missions is given on www.fco.gov.uk . Once payment has been made, cancellation fees are payable in accordance with our terms and conditions. If you do not have a visa before applying and you are unable to obtain one, cancellation fees will be charged. Any travel costs or any other expenses whatsoever incurred are entirely the delegate’s responsibility.
We cannot offer refunds for cancellations due to circumstances outside our control; including adverse weather conditions, transportation issues, major incidents or industrial action. We will not be liable for any other costs incurred including (for example) travel charges or any consequential damages, even if we were advised of these costs.
We do not accept responsibility for attendees’ personal belongings or valuables, for example laptops or communications devices, brought to courses. These remain the responsibility of the individual attendees.
We reserve the right to remove any attendee from their course should their behaviour be deemed inappropriate. In such event, no refund of course fees or other costs will be made.
