Upload your documents to My Applications

What documents you need to add to your application, what we accept, and how to upload these to My Applications on eVision

Updated on 13 June 2025

What documents do I need to upload?

Photo ID

Issued by a government agency or professional institution showing your name, date of birth, and a clear image of your face.

Examples include your photocard driving licence (full or provisional), passport, national ID card, or Young Scot card.

Proof of address

Any company headed letter or document showing:

  • your full name and the address stated on your application
  • a date in the last six months, or three months if your course requires a PVG check

Examples include a utility bill, finance letter, or medical letter. We can also accept an online bank statement.

If there is information you would prefer to keep private (for example, financial information), you may redact sensitive information provided the document can still be clearly identified.

Proof of nationality (PVG courses only)

Your current passport, birth certificate, or national ID card. This document must not be the same document used for photo ID or proof of address.

We are unable to accept expired documents.

Proof of name change (if applicable)

If the name on any of your documents does not match the name given on your application, we need legal documentation which shows that both names belong to you.

If this applies to you, please contact us and we will add space for you to upload proof of this change.

Examples include your new birth certificate (if you changed your name in Scotland and your old name is shown at the bottom), deed poll (if you changed your name in England, Wales, or Northern Ireland), or your certificate of marriage, civil partnership, or divorce.

Qualifications

We do not receive all qualifications from UCAS and so you must provide us with your certificate.

Examples of the most common qualifications we do receive from UCAS are:

  • SQA Highers and Advanced Highers
  • A Levels and AS levels
  • Pearson BTECs
  • UAL Level 3 Diplomas
  • Welsh Baccalaureate
  • OCR Diplomas
  • Irish Leaving Certificates
  • CACHE level 3 Diplomas
  • Access to HE Diplomas

If you are not sure whether you need to upload your certificate, if it is not listed on UCAS' Sending Exam Results page, then please do.
