Oil and Gas Law - Commercial Contracts Matrix involves understanding the creation and linkage of various agreements in the oil and gas industry.

What you will learn

In this module you will:

  • gain an extensive and detailed knowledge and understanding of the range of oil and gas agreements between companies
  • obtain knowledge of the process involved in the creation of agreements
  • gain a critical awareness of the linkage between agreements (risk and reward)
  • be able to identify risks which can be transferred to other parties through a series of contracts

By the end of this module you will be able to:

  • competently perform analysis of the flow of obligations through the series of agreements – understanding how that controls the risk profile of the individual field owner, and see how that risk can be adjusted by changing the terms of a contract or the risk position of a contract
  • provide original and creative advice to company managers on approaches and strategies relating to the structure of commercial oil and gas agreements
  • critically review and synthesize information, research and analyse complex issues relating to commercial and oil and gas agreements, informed by developments at the forefront of the industry
