You will develop an enhanced understanding of your role as ethical and professional members of the wider educational community. You will develop critical knowledge and understanding of inclusive practice.
What you will learn
In this module you will:
- develop an enhanced knowledge of the principles and practice that make up the curriculum in the primary school
- work independently to explore your own pedagogical understanding and perspectives
- develop positive classroom ethos
- understand issues related to child protection
- develop inter disciplinary and collaborative working
- understand organisation and management of multi composite classes
- effectively work with partner
- use research to inform practice
- develop your long term planning, assessment and evaluation skills
By the end of this module, you will be able to:
- show detailed knowledge and understanding of the primary school curriculum. You will be able to show an understanding of its development. This will include transition from primary to secondary school
- show an enhanced awareness of classroom management practices
- show a critical understanding of relevant principles, practices and theories that inform inclusive education
- show an ability to put in place long term planning and appropriate assessment techniques to an advanced level
- show an ability to identify critically and analyse professional issues and literature to show knowledge of current professional practice
