Biography
Carlo Morelli is a Senior Lecturer in business and economic history. I am interested in the generation of wealth in society and its re-distribution. My research examines industrial organisation and business / government relationships in the twentieth century. Current research in this area looks at our understanding of industrial decline, the jute and textile industries and industrial transformation in Anglo-Indian economic relationships. My second area of research examines social policy, poverty and inequality. Current work in this area focuses upon household inequality, funeral poverty and devolution. Potential PhD students wishing to work in any of these areas are welcome to contact me.
