Biography

I am passionate about ensuring a high-quality learning experience for students and fostering an inclusive environment. As a member of the Quality and Academic Standards team, I work with colleagues across the University to enhance institutional processes and ensure alignment with sector standards. I strongly believe in the transformative power of education and its ability to create equitable opportunities for all students.

Beyond compliance, quality assurance is about making meaningful improvements that positively impact students, staff, and the wider University community. My work is driven by a commitment to collaboration, transparency, and inclusivity, ensuring that policy and practice reflect the diverse needs of our student body.

Education

I hold a First-Class BA (Hons) Art & Philosophy from Duncan of Jordanstone, University of Dundee. My dissertation explored female body comportment and the perceived tension between motherhood and being a practicing artist. For my degree show, I presented the lived experience of my dissertation topic through 30 digital photographs and five 8-hour diary films shot from a first-person perspective using a GoPro. The core values of my degree work continue to influence my approach to quality assurance, policy development, and curriculum enhancement, ensuring that all students can reach their potential.
