Biography
Trudy has been Sustainable & Environmental Officer at the University of Dundee since 2007 and Waste Manager since 2019, leading on sustainable initiatives across our campuses. She is also Sustainable Transport Officer at the University.
With an educational background in Sustainability and Renewable Energy, she is also a Fellow in the Environmental Association for Universities and Colleges (EAUC) as well as convener for EAUC Scotland groups for Sustainable transport and Waste Management.
She is also involved with many community projects across the city including being Chair of Dundee in Bloom Group, committee member of Dundee Fairtrade Forum, Dundee Cycling Forum, Tayside Circular Economy Ambassador, and Sustainable Dundee network.
On campus she has managed many projects including the University’s allotments, new bike shelters, Electric Vehicles and chargers, a furniture re-use store, and a free shop (running continuously for 17 years) which redistributes items including clothes, books, and homeware to students throughout the year.
Teaching
Trudy lectures on sustainability in a number of departments most recently to all new engineering students.
