
This one-day course will help develop skills required to perform safe peripheral joint injections. With a blend of lectures, joint assessment demonstrations, clinical scenarios, and ample practical time using thiel embalmed cadaveric specimens.
On completion of the course you will be able to explain the pharmacology of local anaesthetic and corticosteroid drugs as well as the indications for and contraindications to injection techniques.
You will also be able to perform peripheral joint examination/assessment of patients, correctly identify the pathology and determine the appropriate drug selection and dosage.
Delegates will be working in small groups using thiel embalmed cadaveric specimens with personal tuition from experienced faculty.
