300 leading psychologists from UK and Canada to meet in Dundee

The Experimental Psychology Society (EPS) and the Canadian Society for Brain, Behaviour and Cognitive Science (CSBBCS) will meet to discuss the newest advancements in psychology and behavioural neuroscience.

Academics will present cutting-edge research, before any papers have been published, in a series of presentations.

The joint EPS/CSBBCS meeting will highlight new research across multiple areas, including ageing, education, communication, memory, reading, neurodiversity, eyewitness testimony, and language development.

Speed mentoring, organised by the Canadian and European branches of Women in Cognitive Science, will be on offer for postgraduate researchers, and postgraduates will also have a chance to share their work in two separate poster sessions.

The event is aimed at providing a forum for scholarly discussion, exchanging new ideas and building global research partnerships, and takes place between 8 – 11 July.

Dr Lynne Duncan, Head of Psychology, at Dundee, said, “We are delighted to host this exceptional programme of speakers who will share their expertise in experimental psychology.

“Our hope is that the brain and behavioural research presented at the conference will lead to new insights in psychology and inspire future international collaborations.”
