Some of the country’s best known employers will attend the Dundee Careers Fair 2024, which takes place in the University’s Bonar Hall on Thursday 17 October.
More than 40 exhibitors will attend the fair, with household names from the fields of construction, finance, retail, and engineering among those participating.
Given the diverse variety of employers available to speak to, Richard Pool, Employment Engagement Manager with the University’s Careers Service, said that visitors could be surprised at the potential avenues of employment available to them.
“Employers are aware of the quality of graduates that we produce here at Dundee. That is why we continue to welcome so many to campus for our annual Careers Fair.
“They know that they will have the opportunity to speak to engaged, motivated students and graduates that can build their workforce of tomorrow.
“Meanwhile, our students can ask questions about what potential employers can offer them as they look to take the first steps on their career paths. That could be anything from an internship, to explore a potential career choice, to Graduate Scheme or full-time employment.
“Having the opportunity to speak with employers first-hand is an opportunity with the potential to make an individual aware of opportunities they may not have thought of previously, so it really is too good a chance not to take.”
Around 1000 students and graduates are expected to attend the event, with those from universities other than Dundee also welcome to attend.
The University of Dundee Careers Fair 2024 takes place on Thursday 17 October from 10:30 - 14:30. Entry is free but booking in advance is required, which can be completed online via this link.
