Episode 1 Recap – Business Matters: Employability and Experience

On Tuesday, 25 March 2025, we kicked off the first episode of Business Matters presented by the School of Business, the new quarterly podcast series that brings together students, academics, and career experts for open, insightful discussions. 

In this episode, the School of Business team explored how they support students in building a strong career foundation from when they arrive on campus. 

Our expert panel, featuring Dr. Dila Kulturel (Host & Lecturer in Marketing), Craig Reoch (Careers Adviser), Adam (Undergraduate student), and Rakul (Postgraduate student), shared valuable insights on:

• Internships, mentorships, and career fairs—key opportunities that help students gain practical experience.
• The School of Business careers service —  how the team guides students from enrolment to graduation and beyond.
• Industry connections & alumni support—real success stories and networking opportunities.

This first session was a fresh, roundtable-style discussion recorded in the Business School with the 360-degree Owl camera, making for a dynamic and engaging conversation.
