When I decided to pursue my master’s degree in International Marketing, I wanted more than just a traditional classroom experience. I sought a program that would offer flexibility, real-world applications, and an international perspective. That’s exactly what I found at the University of Dundee School of Business.

About the course

The International Marketing course in the School of Business offers a comprehensive foundation in marketing principles with a global reach. It allows students to tailor their learning experience through selective pathways. I combined International Marketing with Management, which has given me a well-rounded understanding of business on an international scale.

One standout module for me has been Applied Marketing Research & Insight. This module offers practical experience with market segmentation, go-to-market strategies, and in-depth research methods—skills that are crucial for a career in international marketing.

Additionally, I was fortunate to receive the Vice Chancellor's South Asia scholarship worth £4,000, which significantly eased my financial burden and allowed me to focus on my studies without financial stress.

What I enjoy most

The practical focus of the program is what I enjoy most. Each module is designed to connect directly to real-world marketing challenges, pushing us beyond theory into solving actual business problems. The group projects have been particularly rewarding, offering the opportunity to collaborate with classmates from diverse cultural backgrounds and perspectives. This experience has broadened my understanding of how marketing works in different parts of the world.

Memorable experiences: projects and support

One of the most impactful experiences has been the Pagoda internship, which I undertook during the summer break. This hands-on opportunity was a huge boost to my portfolio, giving me real-world experience in the field of international marketing.

Moreover, the supportive professors and approachable staff have been key to my success. Whenever I’ve had questions or needed guidance, they’ve been readily available to help, ensuring that I stay on track with my studies.

Dundee’s hybrid learning system has also been a game-changer. The ability to attend classes both in person and online, with recordings available for later viewing, has made it easier to manage my schedule while keeping up with coursework.

Why I recommend the course

If you're considering studying International Marketing at Dundee, I can confidently say it's a decision you won’t regret. The course prepares you thoroughly for a career in international marketing, with its flexible structure, supportive community, and practical focus.

The University’s location in Scotland, with its affordable living costs, is an added bonus. Whether you’re looking for practical knowledge, career development, or a place that understands the needs of its students, the University of Dundee School of Business delivers. It’s been one of the best decisions I’ve made for my future, equipping me with the skills and confidence to succeed in the international marketing world.
