My Professional Accountancy MSc experience at the School of Business

My name is Mohammed Suhail, and I graduated in 2023 with an MSc in Professional Accountancy from the University of Dundee, School of Business. I am currently working as a Management Accountant at Emerson in Glasgow, having begun my UK career at Portman Dentex. 

Coming from India as a qualified Cost and Management Accountant, I had a long-standing dream of studying and building a career in the UK. After careful research, I chose the School of Business for its MSc programme, which uniquely aligns with the ACCA qualification—offering both academic depth and a clear path to professional certification.

The course enhanced my understanding of international accounting practices, financial analysis, and decision-making. It was practical and tailored to the needs of today’s financial professionals, helping me adapt quickly to the UK corporate environment. In my current role, I work on financial reporting, budgeting, month-end closings, and strategic forecasting. What I enjoy most is contributing to decisions that influence the company’s financial direction. My degree has equipped me not just with technical skills, but with the confidence to operate in a global business environment.
