Hi everyone, my name's Neve and I'm a third year animation student studying at DJCAD.
In this video, I'll be taking you through the facilities that we use in this course.
Every animation year has their own studio space that we typically use for working with our groups.
This is the third-year studio.
The main facilities we use are the two Media Labs located in the graphic design corridor.
Both of these Media Labs are equipped with Adobe Apps such as Photoshop and After Effects and animation specific software like TVPaint and Maya.
You can animate in Media Lab 1 with the use of a Wacom pad that you can borrow from the equipment loans office and in Media Lab 2 they have special drawing tablets that allow you to draw directly onto the screen.
If you'd prefer, there is also a 3D lab located in the Matthew building that you can book out to complete 3D animation specific tasks using software like Maya and ZBrush.
The next facility is the DJCAD Art Shop where you can basically get anything you need for your course.
This is where I buy my materials for life drawing classes.
DJCAD Library also offers animation related books which I would recommend to anybody who's interested in animation.
Thanks for watching, I hope you found this video useful.
