Hi, I'm Felicity and this is my experience studying Mental Health Nursing at the University of Dundee.
I think for a long while I always wondered what I wanted to do in life.
I just knew I wanted to help and support people, and I think nursing gives me that push.
Teaching staff in nursing, they're very engaging, they're very encouraging and very open and attentive to questions. I wasn't expecting so much encouragement, but it's so nice to know that I always have people to lean on and not feel alone.
A great part of the course so far has been the clinical skills session that we've been doing. It's very insightful of what it's like in a practice ward environment.
If you know at the end of the day that this is what you love doing, you love caring for patients, whatever it is that made that nursing choice pop in your mind, yeah, I think you should lean and hold on to that because that will drive you.
