As a University of Dundee student, doing a Life Sciences internship in Malaysia was a dream come true.
I spent a month on the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur attending Taylor's University looking at antioxidant properties of several compounds used in skin care and I also became friends with some amazing people, some of whom were even in my course before.
The application process was really easy, with Dundee University providing all the necessary information for it.
On this particular day we had breakfast at uni. It's actually much cheaper to eat out in Malaysia than it is to cook at home. And whilst we did that, we actually went over some data analysis. If I'm being honest, this was probably the hardest part of the entire project.
We then had some well-deserved lunch and it was time to get back to the lab where we just prepared some samples for the next day.
We finished the day off with some Thai hot pot and spending some time in the city with other people doing the internship.
