The biggest advice I can give to current and prospective university students is to join a society, and here at the University of Dundee, we have 110 different societies that you can join right now.
So what are the benefits of joining society?
You get to meet like-minded people and it's very easy to make friends.
Societies will often host social events which can be both drinking and non drinking events. As an example, some of the events can include balls, ceilidh's, movie nights, group outings, Christmas dinner and that is just a small selection of events.
There are also academic societies for your subject, so that way you can meet people in other years and get some advice from them.
From sporty to quirky to crafty to cosy, there are a bunch of different societies that you can join.
So the question is, which one are you joining?
