Download a letter from eVision

Current students can download documents free of charge via eVision after matriculation.

If you are a continuing student, you need to re-matriculate online before you can download a letter.

Student status

To download letters confirming your student status:

Select one of the following:

  • Certificate of Matriculation Letter: This letter confirms your student status. It is suitable for the most common requests, such as council tax, inland revenue, and gym memberships.
  • Bank Letter: This letter confirms your home and term-time address, course information and enrolment status. It is used to register with a new bank.

Academic performance or award

If you need proof of your academic performance or award information:

Select one of the following:

  • Academic Summary Report: This provides a list of your module results and credits throughout your studies.
  • Module Results for current year: This report allows you to view your module results for the current academic year.
  • Module Results for previous year(s): This report allows you to view your module results for your previous years of study.
  • Degree Classification (if applicable): This is for undergraduate students to confirm their degree classification. It will be available after the exam boards in May/June.
  • Exam Results Letter: This is a signed letter confirming your module results for the current academic year. It will be available after each examination diets, once grades have been ratified by the exam board.

Remove headers and footers in print preview before printing.

Request a Formal Letter from Registry

In certain situations, you might need a letter with specific information that is not provided as standard on eVision. These could include:

  • confirming your student status or course completion
  • applying for a visa to visit an overseas country
  • confirming your tuition fees
  • requesting exemption from military service or jury duty
  • meeting other government and institutional requirements

We can provide a non-standard letter tailored to your needs. It will take two working days to generate this letter. We will email your @dundee.ac.uk email when it is ready to collect from the enquiry centre. You can also have this posted but it may take up to five extra working days.
