Understanding your tuition fee balance as current student

Your tuition fee balance is shown in eVision however may appear different than you expect due to the way funding bodies pay the University

SAAS and SLC Funding

Tuition fee funding is available to UK / Irish students through the Student Awards Agency Scotland (SAAS) and Student Loans Company (SLC). For courses starting in August or September, applications to SAAS open in April and applications to SLC open in February.

You have to apply for funding through SAAS and SLC each year

If you are funded by SAAS or SLC, we will confirm your attendance once you have completed the online matriculation task via eVision.

Your payments will be released from SAAS or SLC three to five working days after the official start date of your course, provided your funding is in place and has been approved. This will then appear in your account.

Scholarships and Sponsors

Scholarship fees displayed on eVision represent the total fee for the year of the course you are undertaking.

Any discounts, scholarships, or fees funded by a sponsor will be deducted from this amount once you have matriculated and we have processed your fees.

You can view sponsor and scholarship information in the student profile section of eVision.

Tuition Fee Refund Policy

The University Tuition Fee Refund Policy applies to students who temporarily or permanently withdraw from their studies.

Any student can appeal against the tuition fees charged by using the link within the policy below.  Appeals are submitted to the Director of Registry directly.

The appeals committee will look at each appeal individually.
