Research at the IIMPRES group

What we do
We study how healthcare is organised and delivered and how professionals, teams, organisations, commissioners, policymakers, and the public shape the provision of safe, effective, equitable care.
We assess outcomes from the perspective of individuals, understanding what is important to them, and design and evaluate interventions targeting individual, group, organisational and systems change. We also focus on how evidence and change is implemented equitably.
How we do it
We provide expertise, advice, tools, resources and approaches to implementing evidence and evaluating change, across different contexts and with different stakeholders.
Healthcare improvement and innovation
Creating and applying knowledge and evidence to inform the development of complex interventions and improvements in the design, configuration, delivery, quality and safety of healthcare.
Implementation, scale-up and sustainability of health interventions
Co-developing implementation plans and strategies, identifying barriers, establishing enablers, and evaluating approaches to the implementation, scaling up and sustaining of health policies, programmes, services, and practices.
PhD topic areas
We are interested in receiving PhD proposals that focus on:
- developing new ways of delivering healthcare in different contexts
- implementing or adapting existing evidence-based healthcare practices
- implementing technologies for different populations and/or in new contexts.
