Internship Report module (CP51013)

The module Internship Report is a detailed account of a student's practical work experience during an internship its links to the aims and intended learning outcomes of the chosen programme and the modules they have studied. It documents the tasks performed, skills acquired, and insights gained throughout the internship period.

The report typically includes an introduction to the host organisation, a description of the projects undertaken, and an analysis of the learning outcomes. It also reflects on how the internship experience relates to the student's academic studies and future career aspirations.

The purpose of the report is to demonstrate the student's ability to apply theoretical knowledge in a real-world setting, showcasing their professional development and readiness for the job market.

What you will learn

In this module you will:

• have a critical understanding of the workplace interactions and the (disciplinary) concepts and principles underpinning the objectives of the organisation/institution, as relevant to the internship
• develop a critical understanding and application of the relevant theory and literature underpinning the internship activities
• be able to critically evaluate and synthesise economics or management information, as relevant to the internship tasks

By the end of this module you will be able to:

• use appropriate disciplinary tools to specific tasks in the workplace
• apply standard criteria and a range of specialised measures/techniques for critically reviewing and analysing issues to address assigned tasks
• review and consolidate knowledge, skills and practices for use in decision making, as relevant to the internship tasks
