What You Will Learn

In this module, you will:

  • learn about sophisticated robot architectures and how they're designed for complex tasks
  • explore sensor integration, i.e. how robots perceive the world using sensors like cameras, LIDAR, and more
  • explore how robots learn and adapt using artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques
  • explore how advanced robots are changing various industries, from manufacturing to healthcare
  • discover Industry 4.0. This is the integration of robotics, artificial intelligence, and data analytics in modern manufacturing for enhanced efficiency and quality

By the end of this module, you will be able to:

  • understand the various topics sufficiently to choose viable avenues towards implementing robotic solutions
  • assess the level of success of their implementations
  • know features, benefits, applications, and integration of robotic systems and sub-systems
  • show your knowledge of a wide variety of robotic system features. This will include multi-modal sensors, data fusion, autonomous navigation, and human-robot interactions
  • understand the responsibilities of robot development, including liability in the event of mishaps
