Teaching and assessment for Entrepreneurship, Innovation and International Business MSc

You will learn how to evaluate how trade and investment policies affect a company's decision-making. Understand the key theories of international trade and investment and develop your awareness of the global economy and how it influences company strategy.

For any aspiring global business leader, understanding international business strategy is essential, this module will help develop your skills in assessing strategic decisions made by international firms, and by using the analytical tools used by successful managers worldwide.

You will learn the necessary knowledge and skills to evaluate flexible and fixed exchange rates.

Learn about exchange rate markets and the international financial system.

There will be a focus on how multinational corporations operate within these. You will learn about making sound financing and investment decisions.

During this module you will meet other students from different courses that share common components. This module will prepare you to get the most out of your studies and further your career after graduation in the world of business.

You will use your knowledge and understanding of research and analytical skills, to study a topic relevant to your chosen programme of study e.g., international business, management, marketing, HR, economics, finance, accounting, Islamic finance. You will choose either a Pagoda internship, a consultancy project, or a literature-based search. 

Learn how to use the project knowledge principles for managing complex projects.

This module goes beyond theory, allowing you to apply your knowledge and develop practical entrepreneurial skills. You will put the theories of entrepreneurship into practise after learning about the contemporary issues, challenges, and opportunities that exist. You will gain a deeper understanding of the entrepreneurship and the required skills.

Businesses that operate over many countries form a large part of our global economy. This module will introduce you to their structure, strategies and the impact they have on society.

Within this module you will learn about the operation of venture capital firms and the private equity industry.

This involves studying how venture capital firms operate and select business for investment, and how the investment process works.

Students will develop their academic English while working with material from their core business modules.
