The Business Intelligence team analyses and presents a wide range of information relating to the University strategic framework, the student journey from applicant to graduation and university staffing
We create, collate and analyse data and information to inform and enable the University community to work towards our goals.
We bring together knowledge, skills and experience from People, Registry and External Relations and work collaboratively as a team to provide clear, consistent and trusted knowledge presented clearly and concisely.
The Unit is divided into two teams:
Statutory returns team
The Statutory returns team coordinates and has responsibility for our Statutory Data returns to external bodies. We pride ourselves on ensuring that our data is accurate and robust through our data quality measures and the work that we closely undertake with schools and directorates across the University.
Analysis and reporting team
The Analysis and reporting team is primarily responsible for producing management information for the University to drive decision and policy making. The team is aiming to develop high quality interactive data visualisations that convey league table analysis, student surveys, analysis of student applicants and student recruitment, and staff diversity. We work across many areas of the university and are constantly developing innovative ways of producing usable, trustworthy data that can be used for strategic and operational decision making.
