The Forensic Archaeology and Anthropology MSc course offers a unique dual focus, combining the discipline of forensic archaeology and forensic anthropology. You will be trained to recover and analyse human remains in both legal and humanitarian investigations.

Through hands-on learning, you will develop key skills in forensic searches, excavation, skeletal analysis, report writing and presenting evidence as an expert witness.

Your learning will be shaped by real-world casework, including homicide investigations, repatriation, mass disasters and war crimes. This ensures that the skills you gain are directly applicable to the most urgent and complex forensic scenarios.

You will benefit from instruction by world-leading forensic specialists who are actively involved in ongoing casework and research. Their expertise will ensure you receive the most up to date knowledge and skills.

This course will equip you with specialist knowledge that prepares you for roles in forensic search and recovery teams, police and government forensic units, international human rights investigations and disaster victim identification.

Graduates of the Forensic Archaeology and Anthropology MSc have gone on to roles such as:

  • Project Archaeologist
