- the regulatory and conceptual frameworks of financial reporting, with a focus on preparing and interpreting IFRS-compliant financial reports
- the principles of auditing, assurance services, and the ethical responsibilities of accountants
- how to apply costing, planning, control, and performance measurement techniques to support decision-making
- how to navigate the UK tax system, ensure compliance, calculate taxes, and develop tax planning strategies
- techniques used by financial managers to evaluate financial decisions and address key financial challenges
- how to conduct independent research on current professional accountancy issues and present findings in a structured report
This course is fully accredited by ACCA and additionally holds accreditation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS), the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), the Association of International Accountants (AIA), and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), allowing graduates to claim exemptions from their qualification exams.
You will use SAGE Business Cloud as part of the degree, gaining hands-on experience with accounting software supported by ACCA. They sit an assessment, and if successful, receive an official SAGE Certificate.
