Public health is the science and art of keeping communities healthy. It involves preventing disease, prolonging life, and promoting healthy lifestyles. This happens through health policy, education, and environmental interventions.
If you want to make a difference in the world, the field of public health is a good place to start. Communities on a local, national, and international scale all face health issues. There is a world-wide need for people who have the knowledge and skills to tackle these problems.
Our Public Health MPH gives you the skills you need in:
- public health techniques and strategies
- epidemiology (the study of how diseases spread and affect populations)
- statistics and data
- health promotion and education
- research methods.
You'll learn about the principles, philosophy, and strategies underpinning health promotion. This will be in the context of public health practice and research around the world.
This course is ideal if you're looking for promotion or a leadership role in your field. It also helps if you want to go on to do more research in public health. Either way it could help you influence health issues.
