Public Health activities include, disease prevention and control, health promotion, epidemiology, community engagement, health policy, and advocacy.

This module helps you learn how to design and carry out research. You will focus on population health topics and learn how to write a research proposal.

By the end, you’ll have the knowledge and skills needed to design a research study and write-up a protocol.

Learn the skills needed to produce a dissertation on a public health topic.

The dissertation will be a significant piece of clearly written work. You will apply what you have learned throughout the Master of Public Health course. You will also show the different skills you have gained throughout.

Observational studies in public health involve observing and analysing health-related data. This happens without intervening or manipulating the subjects or their environment.

Clinical trials are research studies. They assess the safety and effectiveness of new medical interventions.
