Undergraduate Internships

Our undergraduate programmes combine real-world experience, including an 8-week internship, with a final-year project tailored to your career goals.

Postgraduate Internships

There are various opportunities throughout the year for postgraduate students to work with industry, alongside or instead of a Global internship.

Short term internship module

Organised by the Careers Service you will be able to complete a 30 hour internship as part of your degree.  

Longer summer internships

We advertise many placements on our CareersPortal. We will regularly tell you about these or you can find your own.  

Agencies internships

The Saltire Foundation and others like it have offered opportunities to many of our students. We work closely with these groups to ensure that you get support to apply and make the best of these opportunities.  

Networking opportunities

Students have met employers at our events and gone on to complete small project work for them.  

Volunteering opportunities

Some students undertake volunteering opportunities with third sector and charitable organisations.  

Real-life projects

Many of our postgraduate students have spent short periods working with local companies on them real-life projects. Many have used these projects as their MSc project.
