Research Development
The Research Grants Development Team works at a strategic level to increase the University’s research income and implement the University Research Strategy.
We support Research and Innovation activities across the University and we are an integral part of the University’s research environment.
What we do
- Provide information about key funding opportunities, funding policy and funder landscape intelligence
- Support the development of research funding proposals, provide eligibility advice, review applications and offer advice on interview performance
- Provide expert advice on funder and call terms and conditions, undertaking due diligence as required
- Co-ordinate the development and submission of major bids
- Manage the University’s process for internal selection where the funder requires applications are demand managed
- Support Early Career Researchers, offering meetings, training sessions and access to an internal resource library of specialised guidance documents
- Offer advice and guidance on European funding opportunities, guiding researchers throughout the application process
- Manage and support the Pivot-RP funding information service
